Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--3.8; BamHI, SalI, PvuII or HindIII--4.3. The insert has 5 internal PstI sites. Encodes amino acids 81-299 and contains the 158 bp 3' untranslated region and 44 bp poly(A). The genomic clone lambda APO-E (ATCC 57026, 57027) contains a 14 kb insert extending from 7 kb upstream to 5 kb downstream of the 2 kb EcoRI fragment containing sequences homologous this clone. |
