Comments |
A recombinant of vaccinia (VTK-79), that contains an influenza HA gene. This clone expresses the HA gene more strongly than either vP-9 (ATCC VR-2043) or vP-10 (ATCC VR-2044). This clone expresses the hemagglutinin gene (serotype H1) of influenza virus and can be used in the production of antibodies against this protein. A HindIII fragment coding for the influenza HA gene (blunted, BamHI linkers added) was cloned into the BamHI site of a PstI subfragment of the vaccinia HindIII F-fragment. This construct was cloned into VTK-79 (ATCC VR-2031) by in vivo recombination. |
